Ninette Benta-Lares is the Founder and Executive Director of Fluent 268, a multilingual business and cultural liaison firm connecting China and the Caribbean. Through a unique blend of language translation services, cultural intelligence, and strategic facilitation, Fluent 268 supports individuals, families, and organizations in navigating cross-border opportunities in Antigua with confidence and clarity.

Originally from Antigua and Barbuda, Ninette began her international journey at the age of 17 when she moved to China to pursue higher education. She studied at Tongji University in Shanghai and later at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), before completing her Bachelor’s degree in International Chinese Education and International Business at the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing.

Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Ninette has built a career around facilitating meaningful connections between Chinese-speaking clients and local opportunities. Her work spans translation and interpretation, relocation support, property sourcing, and high-level cultural liaison services for individuals, families, and business delegations

Through Fluent 268, she has supported clients navigating new markets, establishing themselves in unfamiliar environments, and accessing opportunities with clarity and confidence. Her approach combines cultural intelligence, strong local networks, and a deep understanding of both Chinese and Caribbean business landscapes.

In addition to her business work, Ninette is actively developing initiatives that strengthen China–Caribbean relations, including educational programs and books, community engagement, and strategic partnerships. She is also the founder and president of the Antiguans and Barbudans of China Association, aimed at connecting and empowering nationals with shared international experience.

With a clear vision to position Antigua and Barbuda as a key gateway for Chinese engagement in the Caribbean, Ninette continues to build platforms that create access, opportunity, and long-term collaboration across borders.
