I’ve always believed that the right connection can change everything.Years ago, I returned home to Antigua and Barbuda after studying in China, fluent in Mandarin and carrying with me a completely different view of the world. What started as a language became something much bigger, a bridge between people, cultures, businesses and opportunities.
Over the years, I found myself naturally becoming that bridge. Whether I was translating, introducing the right people, helping someone understand the Chinese market, supporting a visiting delegation, teaching Mandarin, coordinating a project, or simply helping two sides communicate better, I realized that this was more than a skill. It was what I enjoy doing.
That purpose eventually became Fluent Empire.Fluent Empire was created to make global connections feel more accessible, especially between Antigua and Barbuda, the wider Caribbean and China. My goal is to help people and organizations navigate opportunities with confidence, whether through business development, language services, education, events, local representation, sourcing or strategic partnerships.
At heart, I am a people person. I genuinely enjoy meeting people, building relationships, learning about new ideas and finding ways to connect the right people at the right time. I believe networking should go beyond exchanging contacts; it should create real value, real opportunities and long-term relationships.
My background in China, fluency in Mandarin, cross-cultural experience and growing network across business, education and government have equipped me to operate comfortably between different worlds. But beyond qualifications, I bring something I value just as much: the ability to listen, understand what people are trying to achieve, and help turn those ideas into practical next steps.
I am still building. Still learning. Still expanding the vision.But the goal remains simple: to use everything I have learned, every relationship I have built, and every opportunity placed in front of me to create something meaningful, not only for myself, but for the people and communities around me.Fluent Empire is the pathway I am building to make that possible.
